New York: McClure, Phillips & Company, 1900. First edition. Duodecimo, green pictorial cloth, gilt. top edge gilt. 283pp. Frontispiece and illustrated chapter heads. Good or better. Front hinge is weak. Rear end papers browning, and a few spots of foxing. Light wear and soil. One page lightly dog-earred. Overall an atractive copy. Cover is very similar in feeling to the designs of Margaret Armstrong. This copy is inscribed by the author, who originally signed it in black ink, then wrote a personal inscription around the signature in blue ink.
