Text follows plates; 84pp. discusses the locations and the plates. Text is in German. Illustrated. The book calls for an engraved title and fifty-four steel engraved plates totaling fifty-five engravings. This copy has the title and fifty-three plates, totaling fifty-four engravings. A very good or better copy with light wear to extremities. Text is foxed, plates are bright with light offset to the verso of the previous plate and sporadic foxing in the margins. Plate #30 and #41 are lacking however there is an additional plate not called for that has been inserted between plate #10 and #11. Views include Wiesbaden & Bieberich 7 views, Darmstadt 4 views, Heilbronn & Weinsberg 2 views, Esslingen 2 views, Baden Baden 5 views, Stuttgart 3 views, Ulm 6 of 7 views, Salzberg 4 views, Wien 14 of 15 views, Innsbruct 3 views, and Triest 3 views. The engravings are finely executed with great detail and provide the sharpness that only steel can deliver. This is the second volume of a multi-volume work that was issued over a number of years. Each volume covered a different area of the country.
