This special copy has been handsomely bound by Bickers of London, in white crushed calf, with gilt lettering, marbled endpapers and paper edges; gilt decoration on the spine, with five raised bands, and gilt-lettered title on black spine label. Some spotting on outer pages, and minimal scratches to front panel.

About Us
The owner, Richard Murian, has a BA in History from the University of California Davis; a MLS from the University of California, Berkeley; a Masters of Divinity from Trinity in Biblical Studies and a MA from California State University, Sacramento in the History of the American West. My further graduate studies were in Renaissance and Reformation studies with an emphasis on Italian humanism. My bookselling career began in 1970 under my own name but chose the name Alcuin Books in 1979 a name that has reflected my interest and philosophy. I have had open stores in Phoenix and since 2003 we have been in Scottsdale, Arizona.
