Frankfort Philippi Jacobi Fischeri 1749, 750p., index unnumbered (36 leaves). Birsson was the renown jurist and French philologist who as First President of the Parlement of Paris was executed in 1591. His expertise in Roman Law was rooted in his mastery of the classical Roman authors. Book is in original vellum binding with typical bowing, some browning of pages. A good copy.

About Us
The owner, Richard Murian, has a BA in History from the University of California Davis; a MLS from the University of California, Berkeley; a Masters of Divinity from Trinity in Biblical Studies and a MA from California State University, Sacramento in the History of the American West. My further graduate studies were in Renaissance and Reformation studies with an emphasis on Italian humanism. My bookselling career began in 1970 under my own name but chose the name Alcuin Books in 1979 a name that has reflected my interest and philosophy. I have had open stores in Phoenix and since 2003 we have been in Scottsdale, Arizona.
