Benjamin Jowett's landmark translation which, 135 years later, is still the most popular English version. It was the first complete English translation of Plato by a single person. Bound in original cloth. The spine of volume 1 has a small, shallow gouge in it. The spines sunned to a dull brown and just a bit worn and chipped in a few places. The front and back covers, however, have not been sunned and remain a rather intense reddish-burgundy. In two custom clamshell boxes. Otherwise, a clean and bright set.
