Small stains in the borders. The covers a little bit worn. 48 beautiful coloured aquatint plates taken from the original drawings of the italian artist Luigi Mayer under the auspices of Sir Robert Ainslie (1730 - 1812), antiquary, numismatist and Ambassador to Constantinople (1776 - 1792). With 24 views of Palestine and 24 of Caramania, part of Minor Asia, Rodas, Chipre, Corintio, Cartago, etc. Title, descriptive text, engraving's title in English and French, 4 leaves of texte with small stains that do not affect the engravings.
