Little scuffing at head and tail, endpapers brittle and split at hinges but a very good copy. Written shortly after this terrible Canadian mining disaster, in which one hundred and twenty-five miners died. The author includes information on other mining disasters, the history of Canadian coal mining, and a glossary of terms used by miners, as well as the poignant, personal stories of those directly concerned by the disaster.
