Engraved frontispiece portrait in both volumes and additional engraved titles. 2 volumes. 8vo. lxxx, 645 pp; [iii]-vii, [i], 720 pp. Bound in contemporary tree calf, the covers with a gilt roll border (corners repaired), rebacked with new red and green goatskin labels and gilt bands, endleaves renewed, marbled edges. With a half-title in vol.1 but not in vol.2. Printed in double columns. The engraved titles are foxed, but it is otherwise a very good clean copy.
