With an Introduction and Notes. 8vo. xlviii, 407, [1] pp. Bound by Edmonds & Remnants (signed with their ticket inside the rear cover) in the original brown cloth, blocked in blind with the spine lettered in gilt, brown endleaves. (Spine faded and a little bumped and rubbed). A good clean copy. The letters were anonymously edited by Sir Philip Francis. "Although now completely superseded, this book was for upwards of seventy years the most important work in Boswellian biography " - Pottle.
