1768 Pasted inside the front cover of vol.3 of Fielding (Henry), "The History of Tom Jones, A Foundling". London: for A. Millar, and sold by T. Cadell, 1768. This is volume 3 only of a 4 volume 12mo edition of "Tom Jones". It is uncut and bound in contemporary marbled boards with a calf spine (worn, front free endleaf detached). Inside the front cover is a printed trade card, which reads "George Riley, (Successor to A. Cooke, late of Queen Street,) Has removed his Library and Business, to a very convenient and commodious Shop in Curzon Street, May-Fair. Where may be had, all new Books, Pamphlets, Plays, and periodical Publications; Bibles, Testaments, Common Prayers, and School Books, in the greatest Variety, Wholesale and Retail. Superfine Writing Papers, Message Cards, Pens, Dutch Sealing Wax, and Stationary Wares. N.B. Early News Papers and Magazines served at any Part of the Town, with the quickest Dispatch. The greatest Value given for any Parcel of Books". This tradecard is not listed in the John Johnson Collection online catalogue.
