Greening (with his label inside the rear cover) in the original blue cloth, the covers blocked in blind with the title in gilt on the front cover, yellow endleaves, red edges. Closely trimmed at the foot, but a fine copy. "Published under the Direction of the Committee of General Literature and Education, appointed by the Society For Promoting Christian Knowledge". Each plant (classified as "Fatally Poisonous to Man", "Noxious", "more or less Noxious" or "Suspected") is illustrated in colour with a description beneath.
