[185 x 107 x 17 mm]. vii, [i], 214, [1] pp. Bound in contemporary quarter purple roan, cloth sides, the spine divided into six panels, lettered in the second and tooled with a fleuron in the others, plain endleaves, marbled edges. Spine and corners worn. The frontispiece and title are a little browned and have a crease, but a decent copy. First published in Colchester in 1815. Mayer was himself a gamekeeper. Signature and bookplate of Oliver Collett.
