London 1880 First Edition Two volumes. 8vo. vii, [iii], 359 pp; [3]ff, 312 pp. Contemporary binding by Rivere and Son of half brown goatskin, marbled paper sides, the spines divided into six panels with gilt compartments, lettered in the second, numbered in the third and dated at the foot, marbled endleaves, top edge gilt. A little spotting at the fore-edge but a fine copy. From the library at Feniton Court, Devon, with the bookplate of Alfred Acland.
