[256 x 175 x 255 mm]. xii, 303 pp; iv, 283 pp; iv, 272 pp; iv, 264 pp; iv, 247 pp; iv, 225 pp. Bound in contemporary half green goatskin, green cloth sides, the spines divided into six panels with gilt tooled bands flanked by pallets, lettered in the second panel and numbered in the fourth, the others tooled with birds, yellow endleaves, gilt edges. First published in 1857, this second edition is regarded as the best, having been revised and containing seven extra plates. There is some spotting or light foxing but it is a good copy in a handsome and well preserved binding. Bookplate of Seymour B. Portman, and ink inscription "Wentworth Lodge".
