[166 x 100 x 15 mm]. 12, 36, 28, 71, [1] pp. Bound in contemporary calf, the covers with a gilt double fillet border, the spine divided into six panels, the bands flanked by gilt double fillets, lettered in the second panel, the edges of the boards tooled with a gilt roll, comb marbled endleaves, spot marbled edges. Foxon p.570. A fine copy. One of a number of different editions of Philips's poetry, all of them nonce collections (with three further title-pages). This one is the same as the "third edition" described by Foxon, except that the first two sections have been reversed by the binder. With the signature of C. Cottrell Dormer of Rousham House.
