showing her nearly full-length, in a fine dress hung with droplets, and wearing a star and crescenton her left breast, 7½” x 5½”, no place, 1889 Her husband, Prince Edward, a cousin of Grand-Duke Karl Friedrich, was a General in the British Army and Colonel of the 1st Life Guards, having been a playfellow of Queen Victoria as a boy.
