showing the king shying at Aunt Sally at the Whippingham Church Fete during Cowes Week, with many intent onlookers, 6½” x 8½”, Isle of Wight, 3rd August 1912 A splendid “action” photo, with a sweet look on the Queen’s face, and a broad smile on Princess Victoria’s - she beat the king at this event though the king was successful at the coconut shy. Also in the picture are two Battenburg brothers of the Queen, who were brought up with her on the Isle of Wight.
