AUGUSTA
(Princess, nee Gordon-Lennox, 1827-1904, in England known as Princess Edward of Saxe-Weimar) AN in the third person to the Rev. Mother General of Mayfield,
refusing with regret her invitation to Miss Bellingham’s “clothing”, crowned monogram, 2 sides 8vo., with a magazine photo, 16 Portland Place, 27th April 1898, Lady Augusta Gordon-Lennox was the daughter of the 5th Duke of Richmond. She was created Countess von Dornburg on her marriage in 1851. Her husband, Prince Edward of Saxe-Weimar, 1823-1902, was a grandson of Goethe’s patron Grand-Duke Karl August, later a general in the British Army and Colonel of the 1st Life Guards.
