Alexandra, Malta, 23rd February 1883, Lord Alcester took the Meteor floating battery to the Crimea and back to Portsmouth, 1855-1856, commanded a Naval Brigade during the Maori War, 1860-1861, and was C-in-C Mediterranean, 1880-1883.
