Chilton refers to this book as “that strange piece of work” and goes on to say “This was written by an odd character called R. M. Beverley who had a fixation about the corrupt state of the Church of England in his time. The text is printed in correct Latin and the introduction contains several fragments of quite passable Greek, though Wilson (Publisher) has omitted the breathings and accents
