From the library of philosopher J.N. Findlay (1903 - 1987) with his ownership signature reading 'John Findlay, June 1938.' He was professor of philosophy at Boston University & author of books on Plato, Meinong, Kant, Meinong, Wittgenstein, phenomenology and Hegel. His 1958 work 'Hegel: An Examination' was instrumental in reviving interest in Hegel in the English-speaking world. He also translated Husserl from the German. Slight soiling, slight rubbing but sound VG condition.
