ANONYMOUS. ( Harry / Harrison Griswold Dwight 1875 - 1959.)

ANDELOT.

Privately Printed, Websters, London, No Date (1950s) First Edition. Wraps. Small 4to. pp 62. Blue and black Illustrated cover showing towers of a chateau - presumably Andelot where the author stayed in the Jura. Rare book of letters and observations of fine art and high society travels in Europe and residence at the Chatea D'Andelot. Dwight was a curator of the Frick collection in New York, well connected and highly cultivated. Much mention of friends Belin Gaspard D'Andelot and F. Lammot ('Mott') with whom he had been at Yale. Very slight soiling, otherwise very good indeed.
