STREET-WALKER.
The Bodley Head, London, 1959. First Edition. Hardback. Dust Jacket. 8vo. pp 191. Autobiography of a prostitute. With typed letter from the periodical Tribune to Baroness Lena Jeger asking for an article about the effects of the Street Offences Bill and this book, accompanied by the original typed article (with a few corrections by her hand) and its printed version cut from the paper, 27th November 1959. Slight lean at spine otherwise VG+in VG dust jacket. It is sometime put forward that this book is Jonathan Gash's first work before he even dreamed of Lovejoy; although he has denied this, he certainly worked in the field of venereal medicine in London at this time.
