With the notes and selected variorum of Hugo Grotius, edited by Cornelius Schrevelius. Also includes the "Specimen Belli Civilis" of Petronius Arbiter and the much-admired 1630 continuation of the Pharsalia down to the death of Caesar by the English poet Thomas May (1595-1650). Crown 8vo. [xvi],614,[cxlvi]pp. Engraved title. Folding map. Contemporary vellum; some minor marks, some slight browning and spotting, but a very good copy.
