London : J. Booth, 1814. A handsome antique print - an exterior view of the Wren church of St. Marythe Virgin, Aldermanbury - now removed to Fulton, Missouri. Engraved by Joseph Skelton (1781?-1850) from original drawings (now in the British Museum and the V&A) by George Sidney Shepherd. Originally produced for the part-work series "Architectura Ecclesiastica Londini; being a Series of Views" (London : 1810-1823) - "the first artistically competent and exhaustive illustration of the golden age of London church building" (Adams). Below the image are several lines of explanatory text. Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 199 x 219mm (approx. 8-1/8" x 8-5/8"). In very good and clean state.
