Richard Bentley. 1853 1st edition. 215 x 135mm. ppxii,507. Neat ink inscription to Henry Edmund Butler (on his leaving Eton 1863) on the first blank. With the Mountgarret armorial bookplate on the front pastedown endpaper. Full contemporary calf with the spine decorated gilt in panels and leather title label. Couple of small puncture holes in one panel. Some rubbing at edges and joints. A very good sound copy with all edges marbled to match marbled endpapers.
