Paris, 1827. 2 parts in one volume, 8vo, pp. [4], vi, 216; pp. 8; a very good copy bound in late 19th century half green polished calf and marbled boards. Sale catalogue, together with the very rare printed price list, of the collection of prints and the art historical library of the engraver, connoisseur, writer and curator of Napoleon's Museum, the Baron Denon (1747-1825). The catalogue was written by Jean Duchesne, curator of prints at the Bibliothèque Nationale. There are just over 800 lots, many of the prints coming from the Zanetti family collection which Denon managed to buy while in Italy in 1791; the sale took place on the 12th of February 1827.
