Berlin, Haude and Spener, 1750. 8vo, pp. xxviii, [4], 148, a little light spotting, bound in contemporary boards, spine with two paper labels. Rare first edition of Sulzer's first aesthetic work and a precursor to his Allgemeine Theorie der schönen Künste (1771-74). The work is dedicated to his teacher Bodmer. Sulzer was appointed to the Berlin Academy of Science in 1750 and the Unterredungen are his first published work as an Academician.Not in Goedeke, Poggendorf or Ziegenfuss; no copy in RLIN or OCLC; KVK lists seven copies.
