'Es sind blos 30 Exemplare abgedruckt, die man, bis das Werk selbst, zweifelsohne noch dieses Jahr, ausgegeben wird, als Manuscript anzusehen bittet' (Only 30 copies printed, which until the work has been published, sometime this year, should be regarded as proof).Ernst Heinrich Toelken taught at Berlin University and was appointed director of the Cabinet of Antiquities at the Berlin Museum in 1832. His advertised work of Minutoli' travels to Libya was eventually issued in 1824, Reise zum Tempel des Jupiter Ammon in der Lybischen Wüste .. in den Jahren 1820 und 1821. Von Heinrich Freiherr von Minutoli ... Nach den Tagebüchern ... herausgegeben von Dr. E.H. Toelken (Berlin, Rücker, 1824; a supplement volume appeared in 1827). The Prussian army officer, Heinrich Baron von Minutoli, was leader of a scientific mission to Egypt in 1820 and visited Siwa Oasis a year later. Minutoli amassed an important collection of antiquities which Aloys Hirt visited enthusiastically in 1823; the collection was eventually sold in Paris with a large part acquired by the Berlin museum.KVK locates 2 copies: Weimar, Anna Amelia Bibliothek and Munich, Bayerische Staatsbibliothek; not in RLIN or OCLC.
