CANTO TO A CANTER (A), or, the Pulpits Complaint.

[London, 1680.] Folio broadside, pp. 2; fine, disbound. First edition of a lively verse satire in the Hudibrastic mode on hypocritical histrionics at the pulpit. It is catalogued in RLIN-ESTC with the promising subject heading quoted above. The date (‘1682?’) assigned by Wing to this undated broadside is incorrect as Narcissus Luttrell inscribed his copy (now at the Newberry Library) 5 April 1680 (Stephen Parks, The Luttrell File, 417). Wing C 463A.
