In 1819, he established the world’s first school of management, a kind of business school providing special instruction for young people who had finished their academic studies and intended to pursue a career in commerce and industry. Roux’s school, the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris, still exists today as the ESCP-EAP “European School of Management”, with branches in Paris, Oxford, Madrid and Berlin.Kress C.1330; not in Einaudi or Goldsmiths’.
