First appearances, on pp. 1–16, 289–317, 1–28 respectively. These reminiscences of Wittgenstein’s unscripted lectures are preceded by a biographical note and a record of a number of episodes dating from the same years, being based on Moore’s notes. They were reprinted in Moore’s Philosophical Papers (1959). Wittgenstein returned to Cambridge in 1929, after a fifteen-year absence, and stayed for three years, during which time he gave this series of lectures.
