First edition in English. German and French editions were also published in 1886. Hübner, an Austrian diplomat, made his travels in 1883–4. The six parts into which this work is divided describe his experiences in South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, India, ‘Oceania’ (Norfolk Island, Fiji and Samoa) and North America.
