First edition. With inserted section tt4 not noticed in the pagination statements in library catalogues.
§ A collection of regulations, local by-laws and customary laws for the great commercial centre of Lyon. These cover such matters as taxation -- of locals and foreigners -- policing, patents and privileges and the conduct of various professionals from surgeons to wine merchants. This massive work was apparently compiled by the printer and publisher Guillaume Barbier who signed the dedication on 4 November 1649. The inserted section, tt4, must have beeen typeset after the rest, but it contains rulings of 1645 so it is not clear why. OCLC locates copies at the Bibliothèque d'Art et d'Archeologie, Paris; International Institute of Social History, Amsterdam; Princeton and Columbia. There are also two copies at the Harvard Law School.
