§ A rare work on the plague by an obscure physician of Nantes. He seems to be unknown to the usual medical biographers and his dates unknown to library cataloguers. However the fine portrait of him in this, apparently his only surviving work, shows him aged 40, so he must have been born around 1586. The book is dedicated to the Duc de Retz and Beaupreau and contains verses addressed to the author by F. Guyraud. OCLC locates copies at Chicago and in the National Library of Medicine. The only other copies I can find are two in libraries in Paris (St. Geneviève and Bibliothèque Interuniversitaire) and a copy in the British Library.
