Paris Collection Marpon & C.ie 1921 21x16,5 legatura novecentesca, dorso in velluto e piatti ricoperti in carta marezzata, titolo in oro al dorso, copertina originale conservata 240 (12) copertina illustrata e 40 xilografie originali n.t. di André Deslignères (Nevers 1880 - Marines 1968), di cui varie garbatamente erotiche. "Il simbolismo fu la sua prima esperienza: ne risentono le sue liriche, i suoi drammi che furono giustamente detti "filosofici", e i suoi primi romanzi e racconti (...) come "Sixtine", "Histoires magiques", "Le pélerin du silence" (1896), "Une nuit au Luxembourg" (1906). Pur non mancando di tratti geniali, sono opere di un letterato cerebrale, curioso d'ogni fenomeno di decadenza e perversione sull'esempio di Villiers de Lisle-Adam e di Huysmans" (Mondadori 1959: vol. II pag. 541). Tiratura complessiva di 1200 copie numerate. Esemplare nella tiratura di 1100 su vergé d'Arches. Edizione originale con queste illustrazioni.
