"Ebbe vasta eco la sua totale conversione al cattolicesimo, dopo una serie di lutti familiari, e di turbamenti per la tragica situazione dell'Europa alla vigilia della prima guerra mondiale, documentati nelle "Confessioni a Giulia", nei "Colloqui" e in "Colloqui scritti al fronte". In queste opere del Borsi convertito, molti videro, anche in riferimento alla struttura autobiografica e di "colloquio" dei testi, un richiamo alla figura e alla esperienza agostiniane. Soprattutto dopo la morte, esemplare, da volontario nella grande guerra, divennero messaggio di una sincera esperienza spirituale" (Vallecchi 1974: pag. 191). Prima edizione.
