An apparently popular instruction manual for women that saw seven editions produced in the seventeenth century. Bound in contemporary black goat, elaborately tooled in gilt. The binding is not signed, but it appears to be the work of the Queen's Binder A. The text is toned throughout, with contemporary ownership signatures. Slight crack to front hinge and with minor restoration to edges. (Wing 1141).
