Inthe present work, Tredgold (1788-1829), makes a series of recommendations for the prevention of accidents in steam ships. He suggests improving the strength of the materials used in constructing ships. Tredgold also recommends hiring trained inspectors who would examine each ship and its engines for safety on a regular basis. Fine copy, preserved in a slipcase.
