Dark grey cloth with dustjacket. 29.6 x 21.8 cm. A tribute by 51 distinguished scholars to the late director of the Pierpont Morgan Library. Subjects include iconography, painting, architecture, sculpture, decorative arts, graphic arts, illumination, book binding, and literary and bibliographical studies. Extensive index (pp. 481-502). A nice, solid copy. The rather fragile dustjacket is faded, price-clipped, and has a couple of creases on the front panel; there is a short, closed tear on the top edge of the dustjacket and a small piece missing on the bottom edge at the front joint.
