This remainder binding, in superb shape, resembles that seen on the earlier Syntax books, but we have never seen it on Johny Quae Genus, and it is beautiful example. Rare thus (ROWLANDSON, THOMAS) First edition. Tall 8vo. 24 hand-colored aquatint plates after drawings by Thomas Rowlandson. Contemporary (ca. 1840) remainder binding of orange blind-stamped cloth, gilt-lettered spines with ornaments
