First edition. The work is a kind of pictorial encyclopedia to ancient Greek and Roman mythology. The illustrations are chiefly taken from bas-reliefs, painted vases, coins and gems. At the end Hirt gives a useful dictionary of antiquarain mythological terms.Not in Borroni; no copy in RLIN or OCLC.
