Baroja, 1883. 191 pp. 8º, recent crimson half morocco with original printed wrappers bound in (minor repairs; stamp of Sociedad de Crédito Intelectual, Barcelona, in blank portion of upper wrapper). Mild browning and occasional mild foxing. First separate edition of these reminiscences, originally published in the @Diario de San Sebastian. The author's travels in Cuba in 1839, with later reflections on Cuban politics and the Ten Years' War, are described in Chapters III-VI (p. 26-69); travels to Mexico in 1839 and 1851 in Chapters VII-X (p. 70-142); an 1860 voyage to Morocco in Chapters XI-XII (pp. 143-58); and a transatlantic voyage to New York in 1875 in Chapter XIII (p. 159-190).
