Paulopostprandials. Only Some Little Stories After Hall.

Cambridge, Redin & Company (Late Rivingtons). 1887. First edition. Original pictorial wrappers. 4to. pp. 36. A mixture of prose and verse with drawings and spoof advertisements, clearly undergraduate in style and by various hands. Includes the jocular weird story "The Dead Don: or The Haunted Cupboard" and a futuristic piece "The Bogie of N Dimensions" and, in the spoof series "About Some of Our Societies", "The Society for the Use of Infernal Machines". One other semi-fictional piece is "How Our Eight Went Down to the Races". Numerous illustrations throughout the text. Signature of George Mayall, Clare, on upper wrapper. One of an occasional series published previously in 1883 and 1886. No copy in COPAC. Wrappers slightly marked, torn with loss at head and foot of spine, small tear to upper wrapper.
