    This catalogue of Asian Visions and Accounts is just that. A glimpse, in word and picture, into an Asia, and in particular an East Asia that is now long since gone. As well as many rare books this catalogue of over 80 items includes 19th and early 20th century examples of the Japanese games sugoroku and hyakunin isshu; silk woven images of Shanghai published for the Chinese tourist trade in the middle of the 20th century, a rare Japanese map; a Chinese erotic album and a collection of colourful and detailed Chinese paintings on pith which were issued for the 19th century European traveller looking for a light and portable souvenir to take home.
