    Highlights include autograph letters from numerous polar explorers – Back, Parry, Sir John and Sir James Ross, Crozier, Hooker, Franklin, Markham, Nordenskjöld, Armitage, Borchgrevink, Gregory and Shackleton; as well as Francis Hare (re the destruction of the Kelly gang), JM Barrie, Helen Keller, JRR Tolkien and Evelyn Waugh.

    Photographs include vintage Frank Hurley Antarctic albums from the personal collection of Sir Douglas Mawson, Australian daguerreotypes, the highly important albums from the Elder Scientific Exploration Expedition 1891-92, and unpublished Spencer and Gillen photographs.

    Books include a fine first edition of AA Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh (1926) in the publisher's deluxe leather binding, atlases by Carroll (1876) and Goyder (1877-78), Powell's Narrative of a Journey to Swan River (1831, the first book on the new settlement in Western Australia), Byrne's The First Six Books by Euclid (1847, 'one of the oddest and most beautiful books of the whole century'), Walsh's Bradshaw Art of the Kimberley (2000, a modern classic), original colonial artwork by Benjamin Solly and Richard Hayley Lever, a portfolio by Leonard French (The Journey, 1970, ten original screenprints, only 25 sets), and John Brack Nudes. Fifteen Original Lithographs (1982, about 50 copies).
