ILAB Congresses and Book Fairs are held every two years in another country. They are cultural and social events that lead the booksellers to the capitals of the world, where they are shown the treasures of book printing and arts, and where they have the possibility of networking in a relaxed atmosphere with a worldwide background.


Switzerland 2012 - 40th ILAB Congress and 24th International Antiquarian Book Fair


After Bologna 2010 booksellers and bibiophiles will meet in Switzerland from 21st to 30th September 2012 at the 40th ILAB Congress and 24th International Antiquarian Book Fair in Zurich and Lucerne.

ILAB at Work


The presidents of the 22 national associations affiliated to the League meet once a year at the General Meeting, each year in a different country. The General Meeting (or Presidents' Meeting) is the supreme governing body of the League. The ILAB Committee meets at least twice a year. Its task is to manage the affairs of the League and to put into practice the decisions taken at the General Meeting.


Weimar 2011 - Presidents' Meeting


From September 29 to October 2, 2011, the Presidents of the 22 member associations of ILAB met in Weimar (Germany) for their annual meeting, this year organized by the German Antiquarian Booksellers' Association (VDA). In 2012 the ILAB Committee will meet in Budapest in May, the Presidents' Meeting will take place during the ILAB Congress in Switzerland in September.
